Terms of Service
These terms set out what you can expect from Isimo and what we expect from you. We have written them to be read rather than skimmed past — where a clause matters, it says so plainly.
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Isimo(“Isimo”, “we”, “us”) covering the Isimo website, the signed-in product, and everything we provide through them.
By creating an account or using Isimo, you accept these terms. If you are accepting them for an organization, you confirm you have the authority to bind that organization, and “you” means the organization.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Isimo. Our Privacy Policy forms part of this agreement and explains how we handle your information.
You need an account to use the product. You can create one with an email address and password, or with Google Sign-In.
Isimo is a tool for setting goals, doing focused work, and reviewing your own progress. It organizes what you tell it and reflects it back to you.
Isimo is not professional advice. Nothing in the product — including anything Mismo says, anything in the Library, the guides, or the Journal — is medical, psychological, therapeutic, financial, legal, or career advice, and none of it is a substitute for a qualified professional. Decisions about your health, your money, your relationships, and your work remain yours, and you make them at your own risk. If you are in crisis or need care, contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
Mismo is an AI assistant and it can be wrong. It generates text statistically. It may produce statements that are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or confidently mistaken, and its output is not reviewed by a human before you see it. Check anything that matters before you rely on it. We build Isimo on the principle that the final judgment is human, and this clause is that principle written down: Mismo can help you think, but it does not decide, and we are not responsible for decisions you take because of what it said.
Isimo does not guarantee outcomes. We make no promise that using the product will cause you to achieve any goal, reach any result, or improve any measure of your life. What you get out of it depends on what you put into it.
You own what you write. Your goals, documents, reviews, reflections, clarity sessions, habits, setbacks, vision boards, Brainstorm boards, and uploaded images remain yours. This agreement gives us no ownership of them.
You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transmit, and display your content — strictly and only so we can operate the service for you. That licence covers backups, and it covers sending the bounded context described in our Privacy Policy to our AI provider when you use Mismo. It does not extend to marketing, publication, or training AI models, and it ends when you delete the content or close your account.
You are responsible for the content you put into Isimo. You confirm you have the right to upload it — this matters most for vision board and Brainstorm images, which are often found elsewhere. Do not upload material that infringes someone else’s copyright, and do not upload another person’s private information without their permission.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. We take backups, but we do not offer an archival guarantee, and this is your writing.

We may change these limits. If a change reduces what your plan already gives you, we will give you notice first.
Isimo offers paid plans described on our pricing page. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise and exclude taxes, which are added where required.
Nothing here limits the rights you have under the consumer protection law of your province or country, which apply regardless of what this section says.
Holding an Isimo account means we will send you service email — confirmations, password resets, security alerts, receipts, and notices about changes to these terms. These are part of the service and cannot be turned off separately from closing your account. Product news and other promotional email is optional: we send it only with your express consent, and every message carries an unsubscribe link. Section 07 of our Privacy Policy has the detail.
Isimo runs on Google Cloud and Firebase, generates Mismo’s replies through OpenAI, and sends email through Resend. Vision boards and Brainstorm boards can embed videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Dailymotion, Streamable, Wistia and Twitch, and can search stock photo libraries such as Unsplash, Pexels, Pixabay and Openverse; using those features loads the player, or the photo, from that service under its own terms and licence. Where the product links to somewhere else, we are not responsible for what is there. Our Privacy Policy lists each provider and what it can see.
Isimo, its name, logo, interface, design, code, and the written material we publish — the Library, guides, Journal, and product copy — belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Using the service does not transfer any of it to you. You may use the product as this agreement allows and no further. Feedback you send us we may use freely, without obligation to you.
We work to keep Isimo available and fast, but we do not commit to a specific uptime and the service may be unavailable during maintenance, outages, or a failure at one of our providers.
We improve the product continuously, which means features change, and occasionally a feature is retired. If we remove something you materially depend on, we will give reasonable notice. Anything published through Isimo Labs is explicitly experimental: it may change or disappear without notice and is offered without any warranty at all.
You may close your account at any time, for any reason, from within the product or by writing to hello@isimo.app.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if your use puts the service or other members at risk, if we are required to by law, or if you have not paid. Except where the breach is serious or unlawful, we will give you notice and a reasonable opportunity to put it right first.
When an account closes, access ends and your content is deleted on the schedule in section 10 of our Privacy Policy. Export anything you want to keep before you close it. If we terminate your account for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any prepaid, unused portion of your subscription. The sections on your content licence, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive the end of this agreement.
Except where the law does not allow it, Isimo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that any content — including anything Mismo generates — will be accurate or fit for your purpose.
To the fullest extent the law permits, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data, however caused and on any theory of liability.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to this agreement or your use of Isimo is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any right you have under applicable consumer protection legislation.
You will indemnify and hold harmless Isimo and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from content you put into Isimo, your breach of these terms, your infringement of someone else’s rights, or your unlawful use of the service. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and give you a reasonable opportunity to take over its defence.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of Ontario for any dispute, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the province or country where you live, including any right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
Talk to us first. Before starting formal proceedings, write to hello@isimo.app and give us 30 days to resolve it. Most things are a misunderstanding, and most misunderstandings are cheaper to fix in an email than in a courtroom.
We may update these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top of this page, and for material changes we give you notice by email or in the product at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Isimo after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, close your account before they apply.
These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us about Isimo. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that provision is limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign this agreement without our written consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
